1976 Peugeot 504 Diesel. Somewhere over 200k it developed a cooling problem that couldn't be solved. During ownership I hardly replaced anything. It carried 40 gallons of diesel. During the gas crisis I used to piss people off because while they were in line
To buy gas I would drive up right by everyone else to the trucker pump, fill up and
Drive off. One night I filled up and the guy came out to see where I was putting the
Fuel. He thought I was stealing it.

The front seats would pull forward and lay all the way back and line up with the Back seat
making a bed

It had four wheel independent suspension and four wheel disc brakes which very few vehicles had at the time.

It was a 4 cylinder standard shift that was slow as molasses but at the time I saved tons of money and few people knew that I installed a four channel Alpine high end audio system.
