I have had the original Dice, the silver model and now the media bridge. I have never had a problem. Each time I upgraded I used the original wiring other than the antenna addition for sat radio on the media bridge. Dice has great technical support that I used a couple of times to more fully understand how to use some of the new features offered on the upgrades. Might be worth it to call Dice before you trash it and read up on the Dice media bridge since the wiring is in place.
