I have a 2003 BMW X5 with 150k on it. Over the past few months it will randomly just turn off when I am stopped in traffic. I put it back in park and it starts right up. It is not tripping any fault codes, its not running rough or any other symptoms.

It has yet to do it when actually driving.

Any ideas? Guessing the computer is faulting and shutting it down but odd that there are no codes.

It is starting to burn oil, but with 150k that's expected.
