Do they still have the car???..All they had to do was to connect both vac pipes together with a smaller hard pipe and give you the car back,while they wait for the new vac tank to arrive!!!!!..This is what we do at the dealer here ,when the vac tank splits (common)....in your case it was mechanics incompetence that broke pipe.
