when the camera is flickering, is it a random flicker, or it has some pattern to it? if the connector is physically disturbed, the flicker will be "electronically" random but tied to the mechanical movement of the car or the components (say, you slam the trunk lid, camera flickers), if the camera is electronically flickering, then you would have the "out-of-sync" flicker, or some other type of electronic flicker, tied to engine speed, or to turn signal, or some other things, as if the shield on the cabling is lost...
