I do have the throttle cleaner, so i will use that... probably will not clean the MAF anymore, should it show the sign of dying, i will just get another one...

As far as the coils go, it seems that buying all 8 was more expensive than to buy 6+1+1... weird math... lol... so, i got one coil, and will test the coil #5 by moving it around, to see if the problem moves... the INPA shows irregularity with cylinder #5 on the live stream - i would say, it feels as if the coil is supposed to have 10Amps going through and there is a nanosecond short from coil to engine and that undercuts the 10Amps and some juice is diverted to ground and only 4Amps are making it to the plug... This is just mental picture in my mind, i am not saying it is what actually happens in the engine...

we'll see, i am waiting on the coil...

BTW, the K&N filter seems to improve the #5 performance - it does not "short" as often... still shorts though...

I am not a fan of throwing parts at a problem in hopes that it will go away, but I needed a new filter anyways, the MAF and the throttle body cleaners are about $5 a piece and can be considered as preventative maintenance and the $35 for two CCV membranes was a needed repair, as one of them was torn... So far i got the coil that could be a problem, or could be not a problem... once it is here, i will find out...


so, about the throttle body - you say, once i take off the airbox, the MAF, the tube, i should fire the engine up and watch the valve... is it supposed to move, flap, wave at me, smile? before spraying the cleaner, I will turn the engine off. now, you say it will be hard to turn on? will it ever turn on?

I've read about using a toothbrush or whatnot - should I invest in one??? and I should not remove the throttle body, right? what happens with all the gunk (if there is any) during the clean-up? will it go inside into the intake? or I should somehow dig it out? questions, questions... lol...
