Went to my dealer to pick up a couple of things and check some part numbers.

The partsman checked both:

84 21 6 955 522 6th generation

84 10 6 969 268 7th generation

According to his system the 268 is just a p/n that supercedes the 522 meaning there is no difference other than the p/n.

Is that correct?
