Just so you know how it works:
Dealer accepts the car.
Dealer should document any defects or damage on paper, give it to you to acknowledge.
When you pick up the car, BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE LOT, write down any damage on the document they ask you to sign before picking up the car. Anywhere on it. "Car damaged, wheels dinged and scratched"... whatever. Just in writing and linked to the document they MUST save.
If dealer fails to document existing damage, that is their problem. They aren't required to.... BUT IF YOU FAIL TO DOCUMENT the damage before you take the car, it is now your problem. Most people dont do this, they argue with the SA, everyone looks at the wheels, they say 'we'll talk to the manager tomorrow'...and then the story changes.
Did you do this? Or are you stuck trying to make them give you pictures to prove your case?
