If these glue-on fiberglass parts look close to original, I'm really considering the whole kit. I don't have ~$900 to spend just on the OE-flares.

I'm good at making things look good, but if it's a lot of work to make them fit properly and they still look fake, I won't bother.

Oh and my car is a 2004 X5 3.0d
They seem to look fine ,just not sure about the colour,but you can correct that easily with a textured spray can for plastics that will look just like the OE flares.
The big advantage of these apart from low cost ,is that they are so much easier to fit than the "real thing" as they are just pigback on existing flares.
The OE bumper insert flares are a pain and you need to drill bumper and make sure you get it right.
I got the OE extended flares because I work a dealer and with discount,no point in getting fibregass !
Dont be put off by these fibreglass extended flares,with a little work and the essential textured spray,once fitted, they will look OE.
