Yes you need a press to get the bushing out. The 5 series forum had a DIY on how to press it out while it is still on the car. But if you are going to replace the ball joint on the other end you might as well take the arm out. You'll need the right size torx socket to get the two bolts out of the ball joint end. The end with the bushing is easy.

Harbor freight used to have the right diameter press tool for this bushing. I tiried it, but the bushing was stuck and I needed to get a shop to press it out.

Your other alternative to pressing the bushing out is to buy a new arm with the bushing already installed.
