I am trying to remember if the nav unit has its own dedicated fuse on board or on the back panel...

if the nav computer is not showing signs of life, chances are, someting is fried inside...

if the nav comp is spinning, huffing and puffing, then for some reason it is not generating the main menu screen - the front monitor seems to be ok, you are able to use the front buttons on the monitor...

the nav computer not generating the main menu can be due to internal issues, such as burnt circuit, or to external issues, such as broken/loose/chaffed wire, such as an iBus wire. if I am not mistaken the iBus wire is yellow with brown tracer... but, your issues started with battery jump, so i would not think it is related to the physical issue with wire, more likely to electrical issue with the unit.

one of the ways to figure out if the nav comp is working, would be to inquire/interrogate the nav module with the software, such as INPA, or PA Soft... if you do not have the software, i may suggest investing about $40 into the cable and software, there is a seller on ebay, from romania, he sold the cable and the software to a few members on this forum...

another way to test the nav, pull it out and cross connect to a known working car to see if this unit will generate the menu, and at the same time, take a known good nav system, and connect to your car, to see if anything will be generated for you... you can also try to connect a TV module - in absence of nav computer, the TV module will generate funky looking main menu

this excersice will establish of the monitor is indeed operational, as i suspect it is,

and, if the nav computer is functioning, as i suspect, it is not...

assuming that there is no break in wiring... was there any physical work done in the trunk/boot? like, did somebody replace the battery? or, installed a Bluetooth unit? or replaced/installed CD changer? or removed spare tire? or did work on the airsuspension?

sorry for mumbling - trying to brainstorm your issue here...
My dump question:
1. Is the DVD Nav drive is that Nav computer? Or just a DVD drive?
2. Is this responsible for generating Nav Screen and other normal screen
Where you have computer options like mileage/petrol consumption etc

I will disconnect and reconnect DVD Nav in boot.
