I agree with TX5, the factory system looks the best and IMO although clunky works the best as well. You can retrofit Bluetooth (costly) and Ipod/Sirius for not too much. I have installed several systems in BMW's including the E38/9 and 53 platforms and a OEM system with the right add on's/ new speakers can hang with the best full aftermarket system. My X currently has the CD and Mid, but I will be switching it over to the OEM nav piece as money allows. I have IPOD/Sirius that will switch over when the time comes. I have Audio control pieces that will allow me to drive aftermarket amps/speakers and retain the DSP.
