Nothing overly complex. Not the BMW stuff at least. Last time I played with it (2 years ago give or take) I was able to read the amount of times the roof had been raised and lowered (different count oddly enough!), turn the radio on, etc. Forgot what the name is of it. It ran (runs?) on a laptop via an OBDII to USB/Serial connection.
I remember I tried getting the BMW stuff working in a VM, but for some reason I could never get it to work or to connect to the car. I don't know if that was user error or something else tbh.
That being said, one of these days I need to get back into that stuff, as there are a few other things I'd like to change (remote buttons, lock-and-walk-away lights, etc).
Now, assuming no coding tools whatsoever, I guess this would mean a trip to the stealer?
