I have returned from an independent BMW repair shop. They have read the codes and said I need a new ABS module. I have attached a copy of the print out from the shop. The price for them to replace $1150. installed and reprogrammed to my vehicle. They did not give me an option to rebuild.
So I have went on the forum and have removed my module and have it ready to ship to have Rebuilt. So far I have two options:
Module masters wants $300. and will give it a five year warranty if it can be rebuilt.
ASI(Automotive Scientific Inc.) Says $150. and a lifetime warranty. I do not think I will own this 2000 for very much longer so just wanting to deal with the best company to do the job right. Anyone had any experience with ASI or ModuleMasters.
ASI say their turnaround is 5 business days.
Please advise on any concerns I should consider. Thanks in advance for any and all replies. Cheers
