Ninja is on a distinguished road
I've already upgraded my low beam halogen bulbs to an aftermarket Philip 4300k HID kits, it works brilliantly given our headlights are already fitted with projectors. The installation was a bit difficult though as there are limited space in the headlight assembly.

So I took it to an independent BMW specialist, he put the car on a hoist and access the headlights from the wheel arch after removing the wheel arch inner linings, it wasn't an easy job, took him about 1 to 2hrs for the installation.

As for the AEs, I did more research last night and finally found a solution, apparently someone from UK has successfully done a conversion on a E70 X5 pre LCI halogen (non-xeono) healights, the AEs is an "E90 style led bulb set", he also post the link on ebay

LED angel eye question

I found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251035331292?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1423.l2649 but at £75 quid seems a bit expensive. I asked the seller for more info and he sent me this link http://xenonhid4u.co.uk/led-lighting-accessories-sidelights-interior-kits-number-plate-lights-daytime-running-lights-drl/angel-eyes-marker-kits/bmw-angel-eyes-led-upgrade-e90-91.html saying that his bulb looks identical, but has different resistors inside. He hasn't confirmed what wattage his are yet.

Hope this helps!
