Thanks Ninja. Some very interesting reading there. I have logged a post in reply to the conversion work Nexus66 has undertaken.
It seems its a two step involved process for each side. Firstly, gain access to the area behind the lighting assembly through the wheel arch and undo everything either in the way or needing to be undone. Secondly, take off the headlamp unit to access the entire set of globes. You'd want to be making sure you're putting in some good high quality globes so that this process isn't repeated regularly if an angel eye globe blows.....
My question to you - what Phillips globes did you purchase for the low beam lamps? We're they H7s? To confirm something also, are you low beam lamps the projector units on the inside, closest to the grilled? Have you also considered and undertaken a globe change for the high beam halogen lamps? If not, presumably wouldn't these still be stock and throwing out a standard yellowish beam and not matching your upgraded low beams?
