If I turn slow and don't try to gun it in the turn it drives fine and i can go days without ever having an issue. It is only when I don't let it shift all the way into gear that it messes up. Sure seems more like the clutch plate or convertor to me but the convertor was changed when the tranny was as well.

My mustangs sure are easier to work on!

If you drive like a grandma your transmission doesn't heat up much. I would check/monitor the transmission temperature (INPA) and mark the point where you get the symptoms. If this point is above the engine temperature or somewhere above 200/220F then I would recommend to look into replacing the main radiator and flush the coolant side of the heat exchanger.
