Yea the plan is to bypass it and install an aftermarket 5 channel amp. I'm going through a local installer/audioshop that has quite a bit of experience with BMWs in general. iirc they haven't done much in way of retaining the OBC functions and being able to clear warnings, etc. But if I can get the info for them they can likely handle it. The labor cost is pretty good as well.

Edit: their pricing is pretty close to sonicelectronix, etc. Authorized Kenwood and Pioneer reseller, etc.
