Yea I'm aware of loosing certain features/functions. My primary concern is the OBC functions. Don't need to retain DSP or any of that. One of the primary reasons i'm going with this shop is they've been around 20+ years and have done extensive work with BMWs, E39/E38 in particular. iirc one of the owners has an E53 that he's done a lot of work on.
