while the video is self-incriminating, with a good lawyer the owner can get away - the video does not identify the driver, and a driver can be cited for the speeding, not the car (even though they can try to cite the owner), the video does not identify the car, even though in description they do... the only way this can stick, if they pull the video from the traffic cameras, identifying the license plate of the vehicle, and have a record of the speed - as evidenced by the video, it can be manipulated to increase or decrease the speed of the playback, thus giving a visual impression of a certain speed... and the time markers on the video mean nothing, as the device is not certified...

on the other hand, this is not a criminal proceedings, and in a civil court the requirements for the evidence can much more laxed then in criminal courts...

This was stupid to do, even more stupid to post it on line with self-identification, but the guy should fight back, not because he was right to drive so but to protect the rights from unusual seizures, prosecution, blah blah blah... under the constitution, every person has a right to face his/her accuser...
