Some European 3-series cars have a small monochrome nav display instead of the color displays that we have in the US. If you get an MKIV that is meant for the monochrome display, it will not work with a color nav screen. The only way to know for sure which computer it is is by knowing what nav it came from. There are definately 2 versions of the MkIV for i-bus vehicles. One for color screens such as what is found in the X5, and another for monochrome screen like the one found in certain e46 (3 series) vehicles.
