The e71 is an oddball in that the front axle has a 74.1mm wheel hub/center bore...but the rear has a 72.56mm wheel hub/center bore.

So it's the front wheels that will require the use of hub centric rings for sure...and you may need them for the rear since they are aftermarket wheels & may have a 74.1mm wheel hub so that they can fit either hub size BMW uses.

You can see in the chart below how the e70 X5M & e71 X6 have different hub size (front/rear): (btw, if for some reason I have the front/rear hub sizes wrong...please let me know so that I can edit my chart...it was hard trying to figure which axle was 72.56mm & 74.1mm)
