MRV99 is on a distinguished road
If you put a ton of miles and you are hard on the brakes, then maybe. I have not seen the math work for any of my cars but then again, I am doing 12k-15k max a year and 8k in down Chicagoland miles. My 2012 X5 has 26k miles on it and the the computer tells me I have 24K miles left on the pads... I know that the computer is only an estimate, but when I had the wheels off the other day, the pads are not even 1/2 way.

When the brakes need changing, I have used INDY shops which do very good work and can do a complete brake/rotor swap for under $1k.

I have 20" (275/315) wheels on in the summer and 19"(255 square) wheels and the wife is not kind to the brakes if that helps.

I do 7500 Oil changes so I end up paying $121.00(Chicago prices) every other oil change.
