Wow i feel your pain because THE SAME FREAKING EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME!!! sorry im getting mad. This is my rant:
i was at MCD and this white tahoe decided to park next to me (i didnt try parking anywhere far i just ran in to get a sandwich to go), as im walking out i see the dad digging around in the trunk and then i see the rear door swing open and land on my drivers rear door. I ddint know what to do, the dad was all sorry sorry omg sorry and started rubbing the dent, whatever i was so lost myself, i get really out of it in heated situations, well the guy looked pretty poor and very very upset so i just said whatever its fine..
For a while i was hoping something would happened to the door so id just get it fixed, like some idiot or something would hit me.
looking back now i wish i at least would have asked for like 40-50$ to go get a dent removal or something.
Now there are no scratches or paint trasnfer cause i polished it and all but if you look more at an ange youll see it. Look on the top part of rear door close to the middle:
Anyway i usually park far away from everyone at just about every place i go to. My friends hate me and sometimes say "i never know where hes gonna park"
For example at school, 5th floor, still in shade, not a single car parks on that floor.Try to spot me
This may be too much but whatever, im wierd.
TL;DR: Same exact thing happened to except little girl.
