I took the head unit out again, and switched the pins to every possible combination. No combination of pins worked. The only thing I wondered was whether I got the pins pushed in far enough for the first couple of combinations. Such a pain in the butt. And no the wires on the aux cable and the wires on the vehicle harness are not the same color. I'm pretty sure that the aux cable is OEM though.
