Got a 2008 X5 sport 120Km (w/ 7 passenger seating)...came home one evening and the driver side rear suspension was flat...The fender was maybe an inch off the wheel. The car has been sitting for a few days.
Started it up, moved it a few feet, no fault code, the suspension bag didn't inflate, I was trying to hear the compressor or bag filling up but couldn't really tell...
So left it for a few days, then last night I pulled out the fuse/relay...popped it back in, started it up and got the EDC warning...So I then drove it about 50 feet, the suspension started to fill up, and it was back to normal. Shut if off, waiting a few min, started back up and no EDC warning...Checked it this morning and the rear doesn't appear to have deflated...So Im stumped at this point...
Does it sound like a Relay problem, maybe something reset when taking out the relay ? or maybe a pin hole in the suspension air bag and it deflated over a few days, ? I'd prefer to self diagnose and avoid BMW, then I can shop the parts and "maybe" DIY. any help is greatly appreciated
