TerminatorX5 is on a distinguished road
not really - the ABS is one of the heavily monitored modules, that throws a code for a reason and no reason...

if the electronics of the ABS not working, then you will lose many speed related functions that will manifest themselves one way or another...

if any of the speed sensors not working, you will see that too (test your radio volume, set volume high enough to hear the radio only, not road noise, drive around and break the 40 MPH mark - you should hear the volume go up, even if the GAL is set to minimum, go faster and slower, and you will hear the volume going up and down)

if the hydraulics not working, they have a loop-back to the module, in other words, module tells the hydraulics what to do, they do it and report back - if something in that loop is out of whack, you will be getting something from the computer

put it this way - there is only one correct way for the ABS to function, and a gazillion ways for it to malfunction, each of the gazillion ways throwing some kind of codes... based on the theory of possibilities, of course, there is a one wrong way that will be wrong but manifest itself as correct - but the chances are are slim to none... always go by the simplest explanation first, before evoking the UFOs, aliens, unicorns, tooth fairies, etc...

to test the theory - try to slam the brakes again and see what happens... i managed to skid the ABS before, but the surface was loose... also, you are facelifted, so you have brake distribution force for the rear lights, that light up brighter with hard braking - somebody behind can watch you to see if they light up...

like anything else, this is an educated guess, and as such, it can be wrong - i'd like to hear other possible explanations...
