not sure if you can find a buyer of a used E53 in russia who will pay $35K for a 10 year old car... my car was already onsite, all i needed to do, is pay the local taxes and sell it on a local market - there was NO interest in Moscow for a 2002 X5 4.6iS with 120K miles = 200K kms for the price of a custom clearing... not even mentioning the sale price... i do not remember the numbers, but if the customs was $20K (super expensive on older cars), nobody cared to pay even $20K in TOTAL... so, the car came back to the States...
the niche is very tight now, considering that the BMW is making many models sold in the RF in Kaliningrad from Knocked-Down-Kits, thus saving on the customs... the only models that are guaranteed to be made in the US or Germany/Austria are the US military sales or diplomatic sales, which i think, also includes the BMW Individual and BMW Armored...
that business stopped being lucrative at the end of the 90s... Sorry Artem... but, doing the same somewhere outside of moscow might be a different story... a lot of bimmers in Dagestan, Chechnya and the 'Stans... if you got honest connections there... also, be aware of the US DoJ watching over those sales rather closely... be wary of your partners...

I dont want to sell it there, just for myself to have there when i go back during the winter and summer. but for that money itd be easier to just buy an x5 there, and it would be in euro spec already maybe even TV and of course the clear waffles on the headlights
