hey there - yeah i have had the same exact issue as you have had.

i looked/researched for the same solution as you and have and had some great results.

our original dunlops lasted 20k and were completely worn away on the front outer edges after 15k.

i really hated the run-flats so i went for the continental dws tires and installed an air compressor under the cargo area and keep a few bottles of slime there as well.

the dws tires are great! the handling is not as sharp but still fantastic for an suv!

I began to learn about the factory toe-in and camber settings after the front outside edges were worn away again after 10k miles (factory spec alignment was done when i installed these). This forced me to replace the front tires again and research the alignment.

What i found out is exactly what you are mentioning:

I have the car set with as neutral camber as the suspension allows and a front toe very close to 0 (i think i am at .03). after doing this i have gotten 40k miles out of my set of dws's and just installed my second full set.

Not bad for the size of these tires and the type/power of our vehicles, no?

The ride in my opinion improved over the run flats - much smoother and quieter.. the handling like i wrote earlier is still very nice - just not quite as razor sharp as it was.. but still way better than ANY suv out there..
