Those guys at the shop are complete BS...I totally agree with you. In fact, I would call them and tell them to atleast re-imburse you for the rental...$80 X 14 days...
....If it was me I would completely blow up and find them in person...just so I could tell them I would sue them for all the costs they have incurred. Normally I feel everyone sues everyone else way too much. But then this is really justified.
