It's just tough to see any real fuel savings here in Vegas. Diesel is $3.89/gallon, premium is $3.29. That's about an 18% difference. I'd have to average over 21 mpg vs. the 18 mpg I get in town with my 2005 X5 4.4i. Then add in the cost difference between my E53 and an E70 and I'd have to drive a whole lot of miles in mine before the E70 makes financial sense.

Don't get me wrong, I love diesels, having owned 2 crew cab diesel dually trucks in the past to tow the race trailer. If I could get one in Imola red, I might make the fuzzy logic work!
