When I've attempted to pull the DISA valve it was stuck and hard to pull it out, after some tugging and pulling it finally came out, but to my surprise the flap was no longer attached to the DISA valve and i could not see it inside the manifold. The small bolt was sitting right in the middle and i was able to extract it.
Do i need to pull the intake manifold to look for the flap? What damage could it cause if i leave it there? In my opinion the worst thing it could cause is to disrupt the air flow to whatever cylinder it is lodged in. I've placed new DISA valve on order, need to car for daily commute.

The flap is secure with a pin at the top of the flap. Normally the pin would fall out. If you didn't find the pin better not drive the X until you do or else you risk damage to the engine since the pin is small enough to get suck in a cylinder.
