Btw doing the oil separator and hoses 'replace' soon (have ticking noise and mayo in oil filler cap). Did it about three years ago. Its the cold climate and short journeys I know...Where in the UK did you leave behind?

ssd, it's the tubing that runs from the top of the oil return pipe to the CVV. No. 12 in the pic.
If you're looking for it's location on the car, the pipe runs through the gap between the back of the block and the accumulator.
I disconnected it from the sump (banjo bolt-17mm A/F if I remember correctly), and 1 bolt (use a 1/4 drive 10mm socket) from the back of the block up by the accumulator. I had to climb on top of the engine to feel for the pipe and bolt. Without telling you how to suck eggs, before you remove connect a piece of string/cord/wire to the pipe (like when you run wires in your house) so as not to lose the 'run' of the pipe on the vehicle. That way it'll be easier when putting it all back.
If you're going to remove the oil return pipe make sure you replace the 2 copper 'crush' washers-No.16 on the pic.
I escaped from Sutton, Surrey/Greater London..

Are you from the UK?
