its an extra $300 YES but whats it worth to you if you have to go into the engin again in the future to replace it, and imagine if the vehicle leaves you stranded somewhere... whats the $300 worth then?
if you're already ove the budget, another $300 will not destroy you. and you'll have great peace of mind knowing its fixed right the first time and keep you aware to be careful when wrenching on any vehicle. Plastic is cheap and must be handled with care, especially when in the engine bay.
