have you tried to start the car after the initial couple attempts? sometimes the car can start right up after sitting a bit...

did you have any other symptoms before?i understand that the day before it drove fine, but, say a week prior, you might have hit a deep puddle of water.. or, maybe you had a carwash... or, you wanted to test the car's speed limit and took it to 140 MPH... anything comes to mind? or... did you let your wife drive the car????!!!
