I think links are the way to go, no messing with the computer which I keep reading will raise the car to default again anyway. <-You are reading wrong info. I have my iS lowered 1" all-around and it's that way since. It has been 6 mos

Does anyone know if the 4.8IS links will fit a 4.4i with the sport package? I like the idea of being able to adjust the links to level the car and lower rather than messing with the computer set up.
For me, using DIS > lowering links.
GL with your choice. If you were closer, I would do it for you no problem.
