Watched the video that looks sweet man! How do you find the sound through the AV channel because isn't the TV tuner input Mono only?

the problem with that camera is the camera itself... cheap chinese crap... on the other hand, it is cheap chinese crap - thus, easily replaceable... lol... i've had this problem with my setup for years, first on the 4.6 - the car was in tropics and the rain season had no mercy... the camera itself is not watertight - water or its vapors make their way into the back side of the lens, and cloud the lens... the only remedy is to "sahara" the mothaphucker - keep it in hot and dry environment in hopes that the water will escape the camera... keeping the camera under direct sun for couple of days cleared the issue.. until the next rain came along... lol... still, no reason to go for a more expensive cameras - believe me, they are made at the same chinese plant!!!
On the AV setup... you got this right, the factory TV module is mono only...
but, since this particular setup can only be realised with the use of a TV-in-motion harness (so you can see the google maps on the screen while in motion), the same aftermarket module allows you to play your current audio input (say, your favorite radio, or a favorite MP3 tune from your AUX input) while switching the screen to "muted" TV picture... the reason i say "muted", because the TV picture is muted, but your speakers are still playing the sound from your favorite AUX input...
at this point (drum roll!!)... you re-route the red/white (audio) cables going from the HDMI-to-RCA converter to TV mono audio input to the AUX input... VOILA!!!
you effectively play stereo sound through your AUX input and the picture through your TV module's video input... you need to use a red/white RCA plugs on one end of the cable, and the other end of the cable terminates in 3.5mm plug for the AUX input...
then, you start playing google maps or pandora on your phone... from main screen of your nav (menu screen) select AUX input...
then, you press the "clock" symbol on the nav monitor - many of those aftermarket TV-in-motion modules use "clock" button for this function, - and hold the "clock" for 5-7 seconds... it brings up the picture from the phone on the screen (while the AUX was already playing the sound)...
In my particular setup i am trying to achieve completely wireless "integration" of the cell phone, thus i have couple extra steps...
I need to shoot a new video with improved imagery and i will post it...
it sounds much more complicated in words than it is in reality...
