What are you using for the hdmi to analog conversion before you input into the tv module?
I've seen straight cable solutions - HDMI male to RCA's for as cheap as 16.00 on fleabay but the reviews are mixed and then the box solutions for 40 and ^ Which do you run?
Also I plan on using the 3.5mm factory aux in to input the audio signal from the HDMI to analog conversion solution. (It's installed in glove box for now)
If I remember correctly didn't you say you tune the audio signal in using the aux input mode and then you can hold the clock button and override the screen with the AUX video input from the tv module and still hear the audio signal from the aux input audio feed?

I have seen both, the HDMI-to-RCA cables and HDMI-to-RCA converters... so naturally, i bought a $5 cable... just to find out that the conversion requires a box that converts digital to analogue, and the simple cable can not convert digital to analogue... wasted $5... so, i got $30 box that does the actual conversion, and it has NTSC and PAL switch...
the TV module has dedicated rear camera input that is totally separate from the AV input/output... so, you can have a rear camera and the AV in/out at the same time...
I understand about the wi-fi device, it is the same principle that the HTC is using... so you are good there...
as far as the resolution - the Sharp LCD in our cars is natively resolved at the TV resolution levels, and the converters will put out the picture on the screen at the size that the picture is on your phone - if the Netflix occupies the whole "real estate" on your phone, it will occupy the whole "real estate" on the nav monitor... but the resolution will suffer, as the converter reduces the resolution for the RCA cables...
my ability to use alternative audio source for the picture is derived from the aftermarket tv-in-motion gadget as the TV module itself does not allow for choice of audio inputs... so, you would have to get that gadget and abandon the idea of the tv-in-motion programming (unless that programming also "unleashes" the ability to choose alternative audio input). with that gadget in place, you will need to get RCA-to-3.5mm audio cable (red and white only), connect them to the HDMI-to-RCA converter and to the AUX, and you are there!!!...
