That doesn't stop me from modifying my cars as you're well aware any change you make from stock may make you liable in a court of law. If I didn't affix an intake correctly to the car and it fell apart and got sucked into the manifold, then caused a subsequent rupture of the engine and endangerment of the new owners which caused an accident, you bet your ass that person would be suing me as well as the company that made the intake if that happened.

Extreme example but you get the idea.

This is also why it's highly recommended to get a bill of sale where the buyer is well aware car is sold as is and seller is not responsible for vehicle going forward.

My only annoyance Gio and don't take this personally, is I come from forums for the past 10 years where something like removing airbag stickers was the norm in the world of modifying cars and obtaining a cleaner look.

Now I'm on Xoutpost in 2014 and something I've been doing and countless people have been doing to their cars for 11 years as a simple and free mod, is being debated as possible grounds for federal violations and future lawsuits?

Sad world we live in when that is what we have come to, and people wonder why am hesitate to have a child and raise them in a world where every step you take is a potential lawsuit and liability.
I hear you RB , and don't forget I'm 47 years old and I'm probably in the same generation you are in and I've been playing with bikes since I was a teen and we had fun modding them just to gain 2hp. Not because someone points out a ridiculous fact like "removing an airbag sticker might make you liable" that he agrees with it. Sometimes people point out stuff just as a heads up so that they know all the facts and from there know what they are getting into.
I think thats what forums are. If you are exposing your project in a forum, I think you have to accept that EVERYTHING is debatable by anyone.
