I installed a BSW system several years ago. All new speakers, amp and subwoofer and it works with DSP. I'm not an audio nut but I could certainly annoy my neighbors. Have not had any problems with the system.

I would address the battery issue first with a load test. As mentioned, a bad battery may be setting off some of the dash.

I purchased the Rumanian software package and very seldom use it. I found it not to be intuitive and I have caused problems when I did something it didn't like. Many dedicate a Windows based laptop to run the software because because of the hard drive space it eats. There is a forum that is great source for information and help if you are familiar with the jargon they use. So far the Torque bluetooth Apple based app has been sufficient. I can run it on my iPad or on my phone. It does provide some information when driving. Last I knew Upallnight liked a similar app for Android phones. Much less cumbersome.
