I have the insurance on the 20" RFTs and have had at least 5 tires replaced with another 1.5 years left of the warranty--so has paid for itself and more (though I paid only $1,200 for mine--I think BMW has raised the price since so many claims). I'm not sure if it covers rim damage from pot holes though--I think (from what I recall) it replaces the rim only as a result of tire failure (not if you just run over a pothole). The 20s are so wide (and softer compound) they pick up nails easily--at least here in Dallas with all of the growth there is construction everywhere so I'm glad I got it.
