The rest is a debate for another thread really. Out of warranty BMWs aren't as big of a deal as people make them out to be. However, one must have the knowledge and resources to take them on.

I am very familiar with the car industry - thanks. If you actually read the original post, I was not asking what everyone thought I should do with the car. I was asking if anyone had a similar problem and resolved it.

But thanks for yet another, opinion.
