You should read through them several 05's are involved and there is a gray line between 04 and 05. Late 05 may have the new SW already.
I just had my transmission software updated this week on my '
05 X5 and, wow, what a difference Definitely more responsive in terms of shifting points and holding time in gear. Also, I haven't experienced that head-jerking "slam" coming out of a rolling stop that I've had to endure on occasion since the upgrade either. So far, so good

Sterling - I don't know about the '06, but I have had the same experience on my
'05 4.4. Most of the time it is very slight. A couple of times it was so bad I thought someone rear ended me. Anyone know what the software fix is supposed to be. I'm going in for my first service within the next few weeks. Other than this and a window regulator, I've had 13,000 problem free miles. I love my X! Power is great, an improvement over my 01' 4.4. I figured it was time I said hi all, I've only been a member for months! Thanks in advance
