Any data to support your statement?
Many 540i E39 (same M62TU engine) owners on bimmerforums still have the original guide on theirs with over 200k miles. Your statement makes it seem like it
would definitely failed in that mileage range, which is not true.
Moreover, the OP has N62 in his, not the M62TU as in yours.
Please top scaring new owner. He didn't ask for any owner experience.
