The electrics will connect up and function fine, it's the physical fitment of the screen that may be an issue. As said, mounting will be different but if you are prepared to cut and modify you may get it to fit. It won't just slide in and screw in so if that's what you're looking for then you have your answer

Are you sure you're not confusing the business CD and Cassette units with the Nav monitor?
The e53 could be had with the C53 (in-dash cassette) or the CD53 (in-dash single CD player) or the business radio w/MD player which would be paired with a
MID...but I've never seen an e53 X5 with an in-dash CD player w/Nav screen....and the part database doesn't support it either...not that I can find.
The e53 X5 with Nav monitor...only came with a housing that contained a cassette player behind the screen (
see item #2 in the diagram & part nbr index):
Whereas...the set-up with the MID...the e53 X5 could have either the in-dash cassette or in-dash CD player:

(Business Radio w/CD player)
(Business Radio w/MD player)
