My suggestion is a bit different. And may be a bit strange to quite a few people. I say get the e30 1.4 bar expansion tank cap. Replace hoses that are a bitch only, and especially the ones in the area you are working in. This is the plan to save a couple of bucks instead of replacing all the hoses.
Our 2 bar caps are a recipe for blowing up the weakest link. And our new hoses are barelly designed to sustain 2 bar. So when you replace a failed component, it is generally recommended to replace all the hoses, as the weakest link has now been shifted. Even though i replaced all the hoses, i still installed the 1.4 cap. My hope is to prolong my valley pan or some concealed internal coolant passage/pipe from exploding.
