Imo, the best 'aftermarket tire pressure monitor system' is a decent pencil or digital air pressure gauge: $5 to $30 bucks. Check tp once a week or so, no problem.

My tires have been fairly good and it doesn't change much when I check approx. once per month. But I do a "once-over" every time prior each drive.
