if you own the car from new and maintained it well i think you could roll the dice on it for a year out of warranty and if you have a good relationship with your dealer they could cut costs on parts and labor if something should occur. a warranty is a MUST if you are buying used and unknown product from abc in xyz. wait for at least second year model and revisit. demand may be down your depreciation may have stabilized by then but then again your car, your call.
