yeah, if you waited to take the car to them until it was making a clicking noise in turns then that cv joint was already on its last leg to begin with. surprised a dealer would actually change just the boot on one if it was at that point...unless you screamed at them that was all you wanted done...

you can get a complete new axle with lifetime warranty from autozone for $75 and just have any old shop toss it in. just saying.

if you're decent with tools, you can rent the stuff you need from autozone and do it yourself in about 2 hours. took me an hour on my 01 x5's left axle two weeks ago.
