Mine jammed and was snapped by the glass, when closing, forcing me to remove it to get the sunroof closed. It's very easy to remove.

Gently pull on the mesh part and the clips at the bottom of the mesh will pull out of their slots. Then, just swing the whole thing back, almost 180 degrees. The arms will unook.
